Life - the gift we’ve all been given.
Whether we’re travelling smoothly on the road, or whether we face a mountain before us, there’s a wonderful way through it. Every day can be our best day. Not from anything we can conjure up ourselves, be that from diligent pursuit, optimistic bravado or fierce determination. Sooner or later, there’s always something we encounter that’s bigger than us. The strength available to all of us is the strength of God Himself. Routed in His word, under the covering of His spirit and through prayers to heaven itself, we can live life to the full, regardless of our circumstances. Be victorious. This is the way God always intended it to be with Him – a rich, vivid, glorious life. In every journey. Everyday.
'I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]' John 16:33 AMP
Hi. I’m Kathryn, (although my friends call me Kayte) and I live in the beautiful land of Perthshire, Scotland. The two most important boys in my life are my Husband of twenty years, Andy, and our gorgeous little pocket rocket of a five year old, Jacob.
I’ve always had a passion to connect with people, but I’ve never been very good with surface level chit chat – I find I always want to go deeper. Sometimes this scares people, sometimes it encourages them and sometimes it utterly bewilders them. My only intent in sharing these messages, is in some way to bring the same encouragement, hope and certainty that The One God who inspired them, has given to me.
Since being diagnosed with cancer in January, I have been truly blessed by the most amazing family and friends. Whilst I know many have questioned and struggled with this diagnosis, anyone who knows me, knows I stand on a solid rock.
This is The Cornerstone I have just spent the last six months of my life writing about. In a book which explains how we can live a victorious life, I now, unexpectedly, find myself living the book I wrote – in circumstances that put every word to the test.
As such, with much encouragement – and despite my initial trepidation, I’ve felt led to share my spiritual journey through this season of life. What you are reading now is as a result of that rather tentative step. It’s my conversation, from the heart, to you.
Please don't feel obliged to read it, but if it blesses you, or if you feel it may speak to someone else, please feel free to forward it on. My belief is it will reach who it is intended to.
To all my wonderful family and friends. Thank you. Your encouragement, your prayers and your love are so precious.
