26. Don't miss it

Two weeks ago I posted a video blog which explained that unless there was a divine intervention, I would be going into surgery for a mastectomy and full auxiliary node clearance. Today was meant to be the day. The divine intervention came to pass. Quite miraculously, instead of laying on the surgeon’s table today, I am to be re MRI’d, to establish how much this sudden shrinkage has impacted the disease.

When facing a mountain, it’s so easy to focus on the desired end outcome. But the danger is that in so doing, we miss the other markers of God’s mighty hand along the journey. His glory is everywhere; in the big and in the small. He’s with us every step of the way. With God’s grace, we can enjoy the journey, not just the final destination. Let thankfulness for His hand, His presence and His word in our everyday lives lift our hearts.

‘And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honourable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.’                                                                         Philippians 4:8 NLT
